PUNJAB AT FIRST SIGHT: GOVT STANDS WITH FARMERS FIRMLY IN THESE DIFFICULT TIMES : BHAGWANT MANN

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday directed the officers to complete the work of special girdawari and disbursement of compensation to farmers affected by rain and hailstorm in a time bound and result oriented manner.

Chairing a meeting to review the situation after the rain and hailstorm, the Chief Minister asked the officers to ensure that girdawari is concluded within the stipulated time. He said that loss worth every single penny should be ascertained so that aggrieved parties can be given compensation. Bhagwant Mann asked the officers to ensure that only the genuine tillers of land get the compensation so that they do not face any crisis.

The Chief Minister said before disbursement of the compensation public announcements need to be made to ensure that all the people are made aware of it. He said that any sort of callousness in this work is unwarranted and undesirable. Bhagwant Mann said that in case the loss is more than 75% then the state government will compensate the farmers with Rs 15,000 per acre.

Likewise, the Chief Minister said that if the loss was between 33% to 75% then the farmers will get a compensation worth Rs 6750 per acre. Similarly, Bhagwant Mann said that the labourers will get 10% as compensation so that they do not face any problem in life. He also said that Rs 95100 will be paid as compensation to full house damage whereas Rs 5200 will be given for minor damage to houses.

The Chief Minister asked the officers to ensure that this work is completed at the earliest to give relief to farmers. He asked the senior officers to personally monitor the progress of this task and submit report daily to him. Bhagwant Mann reiterated the commitment of state government to ensure the well being of the farmers and farm labourers.

DHALIWAL HANDS OVER APPOINTMENT LETTERS TO THREE CLERKS : Punjab Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal today handed over appointment letters to three candidates in technical wing of Rural development and Panchayat department. He said that under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, persistent efforts are being made to fulfill all the promises and guarantees that the Punjab government has made to the people of Punjab.
The three candidates who were given appointment letters are Ashu Rani, Seema Rani and Harvinder Singh. These candidates have been given the Clerk job in Group C and selected by SS board Punjab on regular basis.

INSPECTS CROP DAMAGE IN GHANOUR AND RAJPURA CONSTITUENCY

In consonance with guidelines of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal visited various villages of Rajpura and Ghanour constituencies in Patiala district today to inspect the crops damaged due to heavy rain and storm.

During his visit to Mirjapur, Bhappal, Khedi Gandyan, Dhredi Jattan, Nandgarh, Basmaa and Khedi villages, Dhaliwal issued order to the officials to ascertain the losses suffered by farmers by conducting special Girdawari soon so that the compensation amount can be released on time.
He said that the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has already announced that the Punjab government stands fully with the farmers and the farmers will be compensated for the loss due to unseasonal rain very soon.

On this occasion, Rajpura MLA Neena Mittal and officials of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department were present.

BRIDGE GAP BETWEEN INDUSTRY REQUIREMENTS & SKILLED MANPOWER: AMAN ARORA

In order to fulfill the commitment of the Chief Minister S Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government to provide maximum jobs opportunities for the youth, Cabinet Minister Mr Aman Arora on Monday asked Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training department officials to work more vigorously to make youth skilful to cater the needs of the industry and changing trends of the modern time.
He was chairing a meeting here after assuming the charge as Minister of Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training.

While reviewing the functioning of the department, Mr Aman Arora emphasised that skilful youth should be readily available to bridge the gap between industry requirements and skilled manpower. He also asked the officials to come out with a comprehensive plan to impart training in the fields, which is in the demand and has a high rate of employability, so that the youth won't have to face hardships in getting job. 

GOV TO SPEND RS 6.64 CRORE FOR THE BEAUTIFICATION OF NAGAR PANCHAYAT BILGA AND LOHIAN KHAS: Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is doing full-out efforts to provide basic facilities, clean and pollution free environment to the people of the state. In line of this, development works are being carried out across the State, with a focus on beautification and improvement of Infrastructure.

Local Government Minister Dr.Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that Punjab government has decided to spend approximately Rs 6.64 crore on development works for the beautification of Nagar Panchayat Bilga and Lohian Khas in Jalandhar. 

UDID CARDS ISSUED TO 307219 DIVYANG PERSONS IN PUNJAB 

Punjab Government has issued UDID cards to 307219 divyang persons in the state till March 23, 2023.
Divulging the details, Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that to give the benefits of all the schemes and services of the Central and Punjab Government to the divyang persons on the basis of one card, Unique Disability Identity Card (UDID) is generated and its database is being prepared at national level.
