On the directions of the senior officers, Chandigarh Police has been continuing with strong efforts against Immigration frauds as 18 FIRs U/s 188 IPC have been registered against 20 firms & 21 persons have been arrested., 18 cases U/s 420 IPC & 24 Immigration Act have been registered against 10 Immigration Firms & 07 accused have been arrested.
Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when the Police Staff of Police Station Sector-39, Sub-Division South West arrested two accused namely Vipan Kaushal @ karan Sharma S/o Jagdish Singh R/o # 0186, ward No. 4, Backside Sarswati School, Balachour, SBS Nagar (PB) Age 34 years and Gurbant Singh S/O Kabal Singh R/O 409 Ward No-18 Gali No-10, Sangrur (PB) Age-34 Years on 22.05.2023 in case FIR No. 94 dated 22.05.2023 U/S 420,120-B IPC & 24 Immigration Act, PS 39, Chandigarh and also both accused arrested in another case FIR No. 95 dated 22.05.2023 U/S 420,120-B IPC & 24 Immigration Act, PS 39, Chandigarh on 23.5.2023.
FIR No. 94 dated 22.05.2023 U/s 420,120-B IPC & 24 IMMIGRATION ACT ON PROVIDING FAKE VISA TO CANADA: The above mentioned case was registered on the complaint No. ICMS/2023/016636 Dated 15.05.2023, made by Kuldeep Singh R/o Village Fathegarh Gehri, Distt Ferozpur (PB) against Karan Sharma and Preeti the owner/proprietor of Planet Visa Solution, SCO No. 393, 2nd Floor, Sector-37/D, Chandigarh regarding fraud and cheating in which he reported that Karan Sharma and Preeti owner/proprietor of Planet Visa Solution has cheated him on the tune of Rs.12,00,000/- (account payment) to provide fake Canada Visa alongwith air ticket from Delhi. They both Karan Sharma and Preeti cheated with complainant.
FIR No. 95 dated 22.05.2023 U/s 420,120-B IPC & 24 Immigration Act
The above mentioned case was registered on the complaint No. ICMS/2023/011620 Dated 15.05.2023, made by Gurdeep Singh Grewal R/o ward No. 4, Morinda, Distt Rupnagar (PB) against Karan Sharma and Preeti the owner/proprietor of Planet Visa Solution, SCO No. 393, 2nd Floor, Sector-37/D, Chandigarh regarding fraud and cheating in which he reported that Karan Sharma and Preeti owner/proprietor of Planet Visa Solution has cheated him on the tune of 10,00,000/- (Rs. 6,00,000/- account payment & Rs. 4,00,000/- cash) to provide fake Canada Visa alongwith air ticket from Delhi. They both Karan Sharma and Preeti cheated with complainant.POLICE RECOVERED HUG QUANTITY OF PASSPORTS, ADHAR CARDS, PAN CARDS, PASSBOOKS, STAMPS, CAR, TOY PISTOL . POLICE SAID REMAINING ACCUSED STILL AT LARGE WILL BE NABBED SOON
On the directions of W/SSP Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS and SP City Sh. Mridul, IPS and under the supervision of Sh. Charanjit Singh Virk, SDPO/South West, a team was constituted comprising of Inspector/SHO Eram Rizvi, SI Jagtar Singh 1491/CHG, SI Sapinder Singh 1632/CHG, C Rajesh Kumar 4950/CP, C Sant Lal 6333/CP, C Parveen 6404/CP, C Sumit 5311/CP.
During the course of investigation, accused Vipan Kaushal @ karan Sharma S/o Jagdish Singh R/o # 0186, ward No. 4, Backside Sarswati School, Balachour, SBS Nagar (PB) Age 34 years has been arrested on 22.05.2023.
During the interrogation of accused Vipan Kaushal @ Karan Sharma disclosed that he along with his friends Gurbant Singh and Preeti had run an immigration firm under the name & style of Planet Visa Solution, SCO No. 393, 2nd Floor, Sector-37/D, Chandigarh. They further stated that they cheated the complainants to send them abroad. The following articles/documents have also been recovered at their instance.
