A woman, who had accused Aam Aadmi Party's halqa incharge Kuldeep Kumar alias Deep Kamboj of “exploitation”, led a peaceful march here demanding his arrest.

The woman had alleged physical abuse in a complaint registered at the Women Cell Police Station, Sriganganagar on May 19 under Sections 376(2)(N), 313, 506, 354-C and 120-B, IPC against Kuldeep Kumar alias Deep Kamboj of Malukpura Abohar, his cousin Vijay Kamboj, associates Smile Kamboj and Aman Kamboj.

She alleged that the AAP leader “exploited” her after she sought his help in a case that was registered at Abohar police station last year. She alleged that three aides of the AAP leader “managed” termination of her pregnancy in December last year.

Refuting the allegations, Deep Kamboj said that he has joined the investigation at Sriganganagar, the truth will prevail. Deep, who lost Vidhan Sabha poll last year, described the allegations as false and baseless and said that the (victim) woman and her brother were last year booked for allegedly blackmailing a resident of Abohar.

In the separate complaint sent to the SSP Fazilka, the victim woman alleged that to rebut the FIR registered on May 19, the AAP leader addressed the media at Abohar, it was streamed live. He repeatedly disclosed her name and cast highly defamatory aspersions. The video recording of the press conference went viral.

Commenting upon the controversy, MLA Sandeep Jakhar said on social media platform, “Such sordid details are coming out every day about the AAP 'halqa incharge' of Abohar. Bhagwant Mann sab, the buck stops with you. If ministers are indulging in unscrupulous acts with impunity, then the rotten apples at the bottom take it as a license to deceive and loot.”

BJP Ex-MLA Arun Narang urged CM Bhagwant Mann to get the whole affair investigated deeply at the highest level to clear the air.
