On 27th May 2023 at about 2135 hours, Border Security Force troops deployed in depth area, heard buzzing sound of a suspected drone, in the area near Village - Dhanoe Khurd, Distt - Amritsar. As per the laid down drill, troops immediately reacted to intercept the drone by firing.
During subsequent search of the area, BSF troops recovered a drone (Quadcopter, DJI Matrice RTK 300) from the farming fields of Village - Dhanoe Khurd, Distt - Amritsar.
Meanwhile, depth deployed troops near Village Dhanoe Khurd also saw 03 persons running towards the village, challenged them and caught hold of 01 suspect alongwith a bag containing suspected narcotics consignment of 03 packets (Gross weight - appx 3.4 Kgs). An iron hook and 04 luminous strips also found attached with the consignment.
