PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN TWO CRIMINAL CASES

A team of AEKC, Crime Branch, has arrested a desperate criminal named Sehzad @ Samir @ Asif @ Raja, age 43 years, R/o Indira Vihar, Delhi, main sharp shooter of Hasim Baba gang, who was wanted in case FIR No. 179/2023, dated 28.04.2023, U/s 302/506/120B/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, PS Jama Masjid, Delhi. The Hasim Baba gang mainly operates in the area of East, North-East and Shahdara districts of Delhi.
On 23.04.2023, in the area of Kabutar Market, Jama Masjid, Sehzaed @ Asif @ Sameer had a quarrel with one Furkan @ Bhura over an issue of hiring of e-rickshaw. On 28.04.2023, when Hasim Baba came to the Patiala House Courts, Delhi on production from jail, Sehzad @ Asif @ Sameer along with his associates met him. After getting the direction from the Hasim Baba, he along with his three associates went to Kabutar market, Jama Masjid and shot Furkan’s brother Imran @ Nanhe and fled away.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 179/23, u/s 302/506/120B/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act was registered at PS Jama Masjid.
A team comprising of SI Naresh Kumar, ASI Rohit Solanki, HC Guruvendar, HC Yunus Parvez, HC Tej Partap and HC Somesh led by Insp. Rajeev Bamal under the close supervision of ACP Sushil Kumar was constituted by DCP Ankit Singh and Joint CP S.D. Mishra to nab the culprits.
The team started analyzing all the available mobile numbers of the Hasim Baba gang and also deployed informers. An information was received by HC Tej Partap that one desperate criminal named Sehzad @ Asif @ Sameer who is wanted in the murder case of PS Jama Masjid would come to Delhi Cantt. Railway Station. Accordingly, a trap was laid and the accused was apprehended from Delhi Cantt. Railway Station.
INTERROGATION: Mr.Ravindra Singh Yadav, IPS, Special Commissioner of Police , Crime, during interrogation, he revealed that he works for Hasim Baba gang and usually visits Kabutar Market, Jama Masjid for the sale & purchase of birds. On 23.04.2023, when he along with his son was present in the Kabutar Market, Jama Masjid, one Furkan @ Bhura had beaten his son over the issue of hiring an e-rickshaw. Sehzad @ Asif @ Sameer had to face a lot of humiliation in the market. So he decided to take revenge.
On 28.04.2023, when Hasim Baba came to the Patiala House Courts from jail to attend the trial, he along with his associates met him. After getting direction from Hasim Baba, he along with his associates namely Shanu, Burhan and Maya went to Kabutar Market, Jama Masjid but Furkan @ Bhura was not present there, so they fired upon his brother namely Imran @ Nanhe and fled away. Later on his associates were arrested by local police.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON: Accused Sehzad @ Asif @ Samir @ Raja is a permanent resident of Sahaspur, Bijnaur, Uttar Pradesh and presently resides in Indira Vihar, Delhi on rent. He studied up to 10th class only and deals in the sale/purchase of birds.
