ACCUSED RECEIVED AROUND 33 LAKHS IN HIS DBS ACCOUNT   

The staff of PS Cyber, South District has done commendable work by arresting a cheat namely Md. Aman in case FIR No. 47/23 u/s 419/420/384 IPC, PS Cyber, South. Upon his instance, 01 mobile phone, 01 laptop, 01 SIM card, 04 debit cards, 01 router and 01 modem were recovered.

On 01.06.23, a complainant R/o Defence Colony reported at Cyber PS-South District that he came in contact with a girl through social media platform and started chatting with her. After sometime, the girl asked to send the nude pictures of the complainant , which he sent. Later, she started blackmailing him through Whatsapp and the complainant sent her Rs. 21,600/- in five different transactions. After preliminary enquiry, a case FIR NO. 47/23 u/s 419/420/384 IPC, PS Cyber South District was registered and investigation was taken up. 

Keeping in view the gravity of the case and nature of incident, a team comprising of SI Sandeep Saini, HC Vikas and HC Parveen led by Inspr. Arun Kumar Verma, SHO/Cyber PS under overall supervision of ACP/Operations/SD was formed to act swiftly.

During the course of preliminary enquiry, the complainant was enquired in details. Further, the trail through which the cheated money was transferred into the fraudster’s Bank Account were collected from the concerned bank and CAF/CDR of the mobile phone number through which the text was received by the complainant were also collected and put on extensive surveillance. The team worked on all the available aspects of the case.

Mr.Chandan Chowdhary, IPS, DCP, South Distt, said, during interrogation, the accused Md. Aman disclosed that he made an Instagram profile using photos of girl in the name of Saumya Bajaj and started sending request to male persons and started chatting with them. Later on, the alleged accused started asking for the nude photos from the complainant/victims. Subsequently, the accused started Blackmailing/extorting money from them on the pretext that accused will send these said nude pics to the followers of victims on social media platform. Furthermore, he disclosed that he had extorted many persons with the same modus operandi. During analysis of account of accused, it was found that he had received around 33 lakhs in his DBS Account. 

The efforts of the team bore fruits when it was revealed that the cheated money was settled in one transaction and was credited to DBS Bank which was found in the name of one Md. Aman. Some other relevant details of bank transactions were analyzed at length and logically verified.

Further details of the social media accounts were received and IP addresses were identified. The team also identified the CDR of mobile number linked with bank account. Through surveillance and technical analysis, the location of the accused was zeroed down at Shaheen Bagh. Immediately, the team conducted a raid and the accused Md. Aman was apprehended.

KNOW THE ACCUSED:  Md. Aman S/o Imteyaz Ahmad R/o , Saheen Bagh, New Delhi, Permanent Add- Vill- Baswariya, PO- Perswani Farm, PS- Chautarwa, Distt- West Champaran, Bihar, Age 22 Years.

RECOVERY:- 1. 1 mobile phone, laptop, 1 SIM card, 4 debit cards, 1 router and 1 modem.

INTERROGATION: Mr.Chandan Chowdhary, IPS, DCP, South Distt, said, during interrogation, the accused Md.
