Continuing its efforts to curb drunken driving on the roads of City Beautiful during night, Chandigarh Traffic police lays special nakas on regular basis.

On Fridayand Saturday i.e. the night intervening 02/03 & 03/04.06.2023, anti drunken nakas were laid on the different locations in the city. During drive, 46 personsdrivingvehicles were booked for drunken driving including 07 vehicles impounded.

During the year 2023 (01.01.23 to till date), total 753 persons have been bookedand265vehicles impounded for drunk & drive and 109 driving licenses have alsobeensuspended by the Hon’ble court. Furthermore, the drive against drunken driving will continue in future for the safety and benefit of public in general on road.
