9.387KG HEROIN DROPPED BY DRONE, SEIZED BY FAZILKA POLICE

Fazilka police have arrested 2 people with heroin worth Rs 40 crores (as per the international market). SSP Avneet Kaur Sidhu said that about 9 kg 387 gm of heroin was recovered from two smugglers. Preliminary investigation revealed that the consignment was smuggled from Pakistan via drone near the International Border in Jalalabad.

The SSP said that when Jalalabad SHO Gurwinder Singh was patrolling with his team, someone informed that a person named Amandeep Singh had allegedly smuggled heroin from Pakistan through a drone, which was carried on two bikes. The police started an investigation and camped at village Dhandi Qadim at 11:50 pm on Saturday.

While patrolling and checking in the village, the police arrested two suspects Gurpreet Singh Gauri of Dhani Phula Singh and Hoshiar Singh of Prabhat Singh Wala village. On his spot, 9 kg 387 grams of heroin, one Platina motor cycle number PB 37D- 3036, 2 mobiles of Real Me company, 3 bags, a blinking ball, 2 rubber toys were recovered.



While patrolling and checking in the village, the police arrested two suspects Gurpreet Singh Gauri of Dhani Phula Singh and Hoshiar Singh of Prabhat Singh Wala village. On his spot, 9 kg 387 grams of heroin, one Platina motor cycle number PB 37D- 3036, 2 mobiles of Real Me company, 3 bags, a blinking ball, 2 rubber toys were recovered.

A case under Sections 21, 23, 28, 29, 30/61/85 of the NDPS Act was registered against Amandeep Singh of Dhandi Qadim, Baggu Singh of Sher Singh Wala, Binder Singh of Prabhat Singh Wala, Gurpreet Singh alias Gauri of Dhani Phula Singh and Hoshiar Singh of Prabhat Singh Wala in Jalalabad Police Station Sadar.
