MANOHAR REPLACED, NAIB SINGH SAINI SWORN IN AS CM., ASSUME CHARGE

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday took oath as the Chief Minister of Haryana in the presence of outgoing Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal, among others. 

  
  Haryana Governor Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya administered the oath of office and secrecy to Sh Nayab Singh Saini at a function held at Raj Bhavan in the presence of senior BJP leaders and officers of the state government.
 

Haryana Governor Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya also administered the oath of office and secrecy to Sh. Kanwar Pal, Sh Mool Chand Sharma, Sh Ranjit Singh, Sh Jai Parkash Dalal and Dr. Banwari Lal as Ministers. 

Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, currently serving as the Member of Parliament from Kurukshetra, also holds the esteemed position of State BJP President. Prior to this, he represented Nariangarh as MLA in 2014 and served as a Minister of State in the Haryana Government. Born on January 25, 1970, in the village of Mirzapur Majra in Ambala, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini pursued BA and LLB degrees. He has also held various positions within the BJP.

Chandigarh, March 12 - Sh Nayab Singh Saini today assumed the role of Chief Minister at the Haryana Civil Secretariat, following his oath-taking ceremony. Outgoing Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal facilitated Sh. Nayab Singh Saini in assumption of duties in the Chief Minister's Office and congratulated him on his new responsibilities.

Ministers Sh. Kanwar Pal, Sh. Moolchand Sharma, Sh. Ranjit Singh, Sh. Jai Prakash Dalal and Dr. Banwari Lal, Haryana BJP in-charge Sh. Biplab Deb, Chief Secretary Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sh. Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department Sh. Sudhir Rajpal, Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sh. V. Umashankar, Director General of Police Sh. Shatrujit Kapur, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Amit Agrawal and Smt. Ashima Brar, Director General of Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department Sh. Neanqhile Haryana Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini acknowledged outgoing Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal's significant contribution to the overall development of the state. He praised Sh Manohar Lal for settling an example of governance over the past nine and a half years, which has set a new standard for progress in Haryana.

Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini was addressing the media persons after assuming the charge of the Chief Minister here today.

He said that Sh Manohar Lal has spearheaded inclusive development in the state, adhering to the fundamental principle of "Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek," without any discrimination. Working in the spirit of Antodaya, he has extended the benefits of government schemes to the person standing in the last line. Through initiatives such as Haryana's transfer policy, transparent employment procedures, among others, Sh Manohar Lal has earned the trust and confidence of the public. Sh Nayab Singh Saini further expressed gratitude during the first Cabinet meeting for the commendable work accomplished during Sh Manohar Lal's tenure.

Expressing his gratitude to the central leadership, including Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi, Bharatiya Janata Party National President Sh JP Nadda, and Haryana BJP in-charge Sh Biplab Deb, Chief Minister said that he will work to uphold the same ethos of public service exemplified by Sh Manohar Lal, and assured that the state government would strive to meet the expectations of every citizen.

Earlier, in the first Cabinet meeting convened under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini, heartfelt appreciation was extended to Sh Manohar Lal for his unwavering commitment to serving the people of the state. Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini reiterated the Cabinet's dedication to advancing the state's comprehensive development agenda, pledging to build upon the policies, ideologies, and initiatives set forth by Sh Manohar Lal.

The Cabinet also decided to convene a special session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha on March 13, 2024.
