MURDER ACCUSED ABSCODING FROM J&K POLICE FOR 14 YEARS TRACKED DOWN AND ARRESTED

Accused Inderpreet Singh along with his associates planned the murder in a manner to appear to be a road accident. After aprobe by SIT headed by SDPO Sambha sections of Murder and destroying of evidence were amended in the case. He was absconding since the date of incident in the year 2010.

Four of the co-accused involved in the crime have been convicted and sentenced for life imprisonment in the year 2022. He is the son of a retired Jail Superintendent. One of co-accused has died and another is still absconding.

The family of accused Inderpreet Singh had a property dispute with deceased Madan Lal. Accused Inderpreet Singh along with his associates planned the murder in a manner to appear to be road accident. Initically, the case FIR No. 127/2010 PS Barabrahman, District Sambha was registered u/s 279/304A RPC but on the bases of information provided by the family members of the deceased, SSP Sambha constituted an SIT headed by SDPO Sambha and the sections of this case were amended to 201/302/120B RPC.

A team of Central Range, Crime Branch headed by Inspr. Sunil Kumarcomprising of SI Sanjay Rana, SI DaizyDagar, ASI Umesh Kumar, HC Sandeep Kumar, HC Dhirendra Kumar and HC Prem Prakash under the supervision of Sh. Pankaj Arora, ACP/Central Range, Crimeand overall supervision of Sh. Rakesh Paweriya, DCP/Crime-II,carried out an operation and tracked down the accused namely Inderpreet Singh S/o Sh. Chanchal Singh, Age – 48 from his hide out at Mohali, Punjab.

OPERATION AND ARREST:

Accused Inderpreet Singh was wanted in case FIR No. 127/2010, u/s 302/201/120B RPC, PS Barabrahman, District Sambha, Jammu & Kashmir. He was absconding for last 14 years. Four of the seven accused in this case have already been convicted and sentenced life imprisonment. One accused is still absconding and one has died.

Based on a tip off received by SI Sanjay Rana about hiding of an accused wanted in a murder case of Jammu & Kashmir, the information was developed by the team of Crime Branch through secret informers, technical surveillance and artificial intelligence. Surveillance was kept over his hideouts in Delhi, Indirapuram, Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab and finally he was tracked down in Mohali.

Accused Inderpreet is the son a retired Jail Superintendent. He is a well educated persons and has a degree of MBA. Presently, he is doing property business.

Case FIRNo. 643/23 u/s 420/467/468/471/120B/34 Indian Penal Code, 1860 PS Indirapuram Ghaziabad UP Case FIR No.52/2009 under Section 341/323 RPC & 3/25 Arms Act PS ChanniHimmat Jammu & Kashmir. Status of this case is being verified.
