ADC TAKES STOCK OF PROCUREMENT ARRANGEMENTS IN ABOHAR

Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Rakesh Kumar Popli took stock of the procurement arrangements in the new grain market and held a meeting with the officials. He instructed the officials of the procurement agencies to simultaneously purchase the wheat crop coming in the market and to speed up the lifting work. 

He said that till Thursday evening, 32032 metric tonnes of wheat had arrived in the district, out of which 20511 metric tonnes had been purchased. He said that PUNGRAIN has purchased 4456 metric tons, Markfed 8241 metric tons, PUNSUP 3729 metric tons, Punjab Warehousing Corporation has purchased 2505 metric tons and private traders have purchased 1589 metric tons. 

The ADC instructed the Market Committee officials that in view of the possibility of rain, necessary arrangements should be made for tarpaulins etc. to cover the crops in the market. 

DFSC Himanshu Kukkar, DM Markfed Vipan Kumar, DM PUNSUP Raman Goyal, AFSO Vikas Batra and Secretary Market Committee Baljinder Singh were present.
