BSF AND PUNJAB POLICE IN A JOINT SEARCH OPERATION RECOVERED 3 PACKETS OF CONTRABAND HEROIN ON INDO PAK BORDER

During a joint operation conducted by 160 Bn of the Border Security Force and Fazilka Police today, to stop the smuggling of drugs from across the border, three packets were found in a black bag during a search near village Dhani Natha Singh Wala in Sub Division Jalalabad. Official sources said that 2.220 kg of heroin has been recovered and further action is being taken.

Similarly, ASI Manjit Singh in-charge Anti Narcotic Cell, Camp at Abohar, during patrolling and checking of suspected men near village Bazidpur Bhoma two motorcycle riders Iqbal Singh of Mala Rampura Sangria district Hanumangarh and Satpal of Sito Gunno were stopped and searched.

One kg of opium was recovered from their bag. Both were arrested, the motorcycle was impounded. Further action is being taken by registering a case under the NDPS Act at the Wahabwala police station.
