The NCC Directorate Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh (PHHP&C) Inter Group Sports Shooting Championship 2024-25, is being held in Chandigarh from May 01 to 10, 2024 to showcase the talent of cadets across the region. This championship has been conducted under the Command of Major General Manjeet Singh Mokha, Additional Director General.
Sixty-four cadets from eight groups of the PHHP&C Directorate participated in this inter-group shooting competition. Each group had eight shooters participating in four matches with open sight (position prone/three-position) conducted at the Police Firing Range in Sector 25, Chandigarh.
Selected cadets will represent the Directorate at the Inter Directorate Sports Shooting Championship held in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, starting from July 2, 2024.
Brigadier Harpreet Singh, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters Chandigarh, took on the responsibility on behalf of the PHHP&C Directorate to select and train the cadets for the competitions. Raw talent was identified through a series of inter-battalion and inter-group competitions within the PHHP&C Directorate. These cadets underwent rigorous training, equipped with the best shooting gear, and received professional coaching under the guidance of Col Paramjeet Singh , Commanding Officer of 2 Chandigarh Battalion NCC.
