RS 9.25 LACS SEIZED,  160 CASINO TOKENS, 16 DICES AND 16 PLAYING CARDS STACKS SEIZED

A team of Inter State Cell, Crime Branch has busted an illegal ‘Casino’ running in Delhi. 22 persons including organizers have been arrested. Cash  of Rs.  9.25 lakhs, 160 Casino Tokens, 16 Dices, 16 Playing Cards stacks were seized from the spot.

An information regarding running of a illegal Casino in a Five Star Hotel was received to SI Aashish ISC/Crime Branch, Chanakya Puri, New Delhi. The information was further developed and a dedicated team comprising of Inspr. Kamal, SIs Gulab, Ashish, Ankit and Samay Singh, ASIs Rakesh, Jafruddin and Shailender, HCs Ramkesh, Varun, Shakti and Ct. Navin, under the supervision of Inspr. Satendra Mohan and over all supervision of Sh. Ramesh Chander Lamba, ACP/ISC was constituted to raid on illegal Casino and arrest the accused persons.

On Sunday at about 02.00 AM, the said Five Star Hotel was surrounded by the dedicated team and a successful raid was conducted inside the hotel. Two rooms in which Casino were found booked on the name of Atul Saini.

During the checking of said rooms, 21 persons including 4 organizers (1) Atul Saini r/o Safdarjang Enclave, New Delhi (2) Sunny Badjatia @ Babloo r/o Ambadker Nagar, New Delhi (BC of PS Ambadker Nagar) (3) Arun Sharma s/o Sh. Ajay Sharma r/o Jaitpur, Badarpur, New Delhi (4) Ajit Kumar s/o Omparkash r/o R.K.Puram, New Delhi were arrested. The fifth partner and mastermind (5) Sachin r/o Krishna Nagar, Safdarjung Enclave, Delhi was later on arrested by the team from his house.

INTERROGATION: Mr. Amit Goel, IPS, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Crime, said  on interrogation, it was disclosed by accused persons that the illegal Casino was being run by booking rooms in Five Star Hotel. The organizer Sachin Saini called their known customers and sent Whatsapp location of the hotel. There was restricted entry which was only opened on confirmation by Atul Saini. The Casino was being managed by Sachin Saini who also transferred hotel room booking amount. He used to give whatsapp message to the gamblers and invite them on the place. Atul Saini (Cousin of Sachin), Sunny @ Babloo (BC of PS Ambedkar Nagar), Ajit and Ajay @ Arun Sharma attended the guest and managed them in separate rooms.

Players used to buy token from them and then they could put their desired number. After that Atul and his above associate used to throw the Dana (Ludo Dice) and winner would get double amount while all others loose. In the second option, player can ask any number from playing cards and put his bet on desired card by saying that the number is from display card or from Gaddi. This is “Maang Patta”. The winner got double on his win. During the play, Ajit was the person who represented himself like as player and provoked the other individuals to make ‘Baazi’

RECOVERY: 45 tokens worth of ₹ 1,000/- each on which number 10 is inscribed., 45 tokens worth of ₹ 2,000/- each on which number 20 is inscribed, 45 tokens worth of ₹ 10,000/- each on which number 100 is inscribed,  25 tokens worth of ₹ 5,000/- each on which number 25 is inscribed. 03 stacks of “Goti Khilani wali Doli”, Total Ludo Dices 16, 4 open Stack of Playing cards, One Bundle containing 12 packets of Playing cards. Wooden frame to restrict the movement of dice., Cash ₹ 9,25,000/- of gambling.

KNOW THE ACCUSED: Atul Saini (Age 28 Years) r/o Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi studied upto 12th Class. He is the cousin of mastermind Sachin Saini and managing facilitator of casino. Earlier, they were operating the same from Kotla Mubarakpur but after closing the flat by landlord, they searched new and attractive place. Finally, they selected a Hotel and booked two rooms on his name.

Sachin (Age 40 Years) r/o Krishna Nagar, Safdarjung Enclave, Delhi is a mastermind of casino, who joined hands with others and started this illegal trade to earn easy and fast money. He owns a property dealer shop in Safdarjung Enclave. He managed all players, who want to gamble on a whatsapp group and used to send message to them about the location of new venue. Earlier, they were in Kotla Mubarakpur and this was the third time when they organized this in Five Star Hotel.

Sunny Badjatia @ Babloo (Age 37 Years) r/o Ambedker Nagar, New Delhi studied upto 10th class and is a BC of PS Ambedkar Nagar. He owns his gym. He alongwith Ajit, Arun Sharma and Sachin are the partners in the casino with equal share. Sachin used to find the place while other three managed all the required articles for the casino.

Arun Sharma (Age 39 Years) r/o Jaitpur, Badarpur, New Delhi is a transporter by profession and having partnership in casino. He managed all the cash transaction in the casino. He is previously being involved in 07 criminal cases of theft and Arms Act.

Ajit Kumar (Age 30 Years) r/o R.K.Puram, New Delhi used to provoke the other players to do more ‘ Baazi’ and is also a partner in casino.
