VETERAN FREEDOM FIGHTER LALA JAGAT NARAIN REMEMBERED ON BIRTH ANNIVERSARY

Birth anniversary of immortal freedom fighter Lala Jagat Narain, who was born in 1899 in Wazirabad and joined the struggle for freedom of the country at a young age, was celebrated at Sahitya Sadan where he had come to meet freedom fighter and former minister Chandi Ram Verma. Both of them had worked with Punjab Kesari Lala Lajpat Rai. 

Former Panchayat Samiti President Ravikant Rinwa attended the program organised by Lekhak Parishad as the chief guest, Dr. Sandeep Watts, in-charge of Swami Keshwanand Ayurvedic Hospital presided. 

Flowers were also offered to Lala Ji’s portrait by Dr. Yashik Middha, Ashok Bajaj, Sheetal Bajaj Advocate, Tarsem Kumar Meghwal, Akashdeep, Sunil Kumar, Ami Chand, Satish Kumar and others. All those present also paid reverence to the pictures of other freedom fighters in Sahitya Sadan established by former MP and freedom fighter Swami Keshwanand.

While sharing memories, Lekhak Parishad president Raj Sadosh said that Lala ji and Verma ji used to remember the proximity of jail visit during the freedom movement and the struggle done under the leadership of Lala Lajpat Rai. 

Parishad Secretary Praveen Kathuria and treasurer Sunil Bhardwaj said that Lala ji was not only a great freedom fighter but also pioneer of journalism, following in his footsteps his family now holds top position in the field of helping the victims of terrorism. 

Flowers were also offered to Lala Ji’s portrait by Dr. Yashik Middha, Ashok Bajaj, Sheetal Bajaj Advocate, Tarsem Kumar Meghwal, Akashdeep, Sunil Kumar, Ami Chand, Satish Kumar and others. All those present also paid reverence to the pictures of other freedom fighters in Sahitya Sadan established by former MP and freedom fighter Swami Keshwanand.
