Hundreds of relatives and well-wishers of Makkar and Jagga families attended the Prayer Assembly at Arya Samaj Mandir in Sector 33, Noida to pray for peace to the noble soul of Urmil Makkar who breathed her last on March 18.
Muktsar born Urmil was an alumnus of DAV College Jalandhar.
The participants in the meeting expressed heartfelt condolences to her husband O.P. Makkar, a chartered accountant by profession, daughters Divya and Surbhi and son Hardik. The assembly also prayed to the almighty bestow the bereaved family with inner strength to bear the loss. The Arya Samaj priest explained philosophy of life and death and exhorted the gathering to think in a positive way to overcome the hurdles of life. He said that Urmil Makkar was an embodiment of generosity, compassion and readiness in the welfare of others.
Her son Hardik said in his vote of thanks to the well-wishers who had offered sympathy with the family that his mother struggled hard to come out of health-related issues for almost a decade with a strong will-power and maintained inherited qualities of a noble, god-fearing, affectionate woman. The family has suffered an irreparable loss as she left for her heavenly abode.
