A sensational bowling spell from Karan Kaila (5/18) paved the way for Plaza Zone’s emphatic eight-wicket win over Terrace Zone in the ongoing UTCA Senior Men's One day Tournament at the Cricket Institute of Chandigarh, Kaimbala on Tuesday.

Opting to bat first, Terrace Zone struggled against Kaila's fiery pace to reduce 64/6 at one stage. However, an unbeaten 70-run knock from Arpit Singh provided resistance and helped the side post a respectable total of 169 before being bowled out in the 39th over.

In reply, Plaza Zone chased down the target with ease and reached 170/2 in just 22 overs. Nehal Pajni (56*) and Gaurav Puri (53*) both struck fluent half-centuries while Vikas Sangwan added 46 runs.
