Under the supervision of Insp. Rajiv Kumar, SHO/PS-31, the team of Police Station Sector 31 got major success by arresting accused namely Hariom @ Rotal S/o Ram Avtar R/o H. No. 2102, Phase-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh age 28 years. Police said, Monday SI Dalip Singh No. 1459/CHG along with police party was on patrolling duty Chandigarh with regard to prevention and detection of crime. When they reached near H. No. 2102, Phase-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh, they saw a person was sitting outside of his house and he was holding a carry bag in his hand. On seeing the police party he swiftly stand-up and went from there.

On the basis of suspicions, he was apprehended with the help of police party. On search 15.41 gm heroin recovered from his possession, who failed to produce any license/permit for the same. On verification he disclosed his name Hariom @ Rotal S/o Ram Avtar R/o H. No. 2102, Phase-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh age 28 years. He has been arrested in this case with contraband heroin 15.14 gm. Three cases were already registered in same Police Station.
