The Punjab Hockey League (PHL) 2025, organised by Roundglass Sports in association with Hockey Punjab, concluded on a historic note, reaffirming its position as India’s biggest domestic hockey league. This year’s edition featured a record prize pool of Rs 30 lakh, the highest ever for a domestic hockey tournament in the country, and delivered unmatched excitement, scale, and visibility.
In the final, SAI, NCOE Sonipat clinched their maiden title with a thrilling 4-3 victory over Naval Tata Hockey Academy, Jamshedpur, taking home Rs 15 lakh. Naval Tata received Rs 5 lakh as runners-up, while last year’s champions, Roundglass Hockey Academy, battled hard to finish third and secure the bronze medal.
At the core of this success was Roundglass Sports’ vision and commitment. From world-class organisation, grassroots integration, and a holistic athlete development approach, Roundglass ensured that PHL 2025 was not just a tournament, but a festival of hockey. By combining competitive sport with a purpose-driven mission, Roundglass is reviving Punjab’s hockey heritage and creating pathways for thousands of young players across the state and beyond.
PHL is part of Roundglass’ larger commitment to transform Indian sport through its grassroots-to-elite programs in football, hockey, and tennis. With over 30 grassroots centres, multiple development academies, and investments in international-standard coaching and infrastructure, Roundglass is building platforms where talent can thrive. The success of PHL 2025 is a testament to this long-term vision.
Speaking on the occasion, Roundglass Founder Gurpreet ‘Sunny’ Singh said: “The Punjab Hockey League is more than just a tournament, it is a mission to inspire the next generation and restore hockey’s pride in Punjab. With the overwhelming success of this season, Roundglass is determined to make PHL 2026 even bigger and better, offering more opportunities for young talent and taking the sport closer to fans.”
Over nearly a month of thrilling hockey, PHL 2025 brought together India’s finest academies, showcased exceptional young talent, and captured the imagination of fans nationwide. With Roundglass Sports driving this movement, the Punjab Hockey League is not just shaping the present of Indian hockey, it is laying the foundation for its future.
