The Rajpura–Ambala–Delhi National Highway will remain closed at Shambhu on November 14 from 7 am to 6 pm owing to a protest march called by the Qaumi Insaaf Morcha and several farmer unions. The march towards the Shambhu barrier is expected to disrupt vehicular movement throughout the day, prompting authorities to issue a traffic advisory.
The police have announced diversion routes to ease congestion. Commuters travelling towards Ambala have been advised to opt for alternative routes via Fatehgarh Sahib–Landran–Airport Chowk Mohali–Derabassi, or through Rajpura–Banur–Zirakpur–Derabassi. Other suggested options include Rajpura–Ghanaur–Ambala, Patiala–Ghanaur–Ambala, and the Banur–Manouli Surat–Lehli–Lalru stretch, which will be open only for light vehicles.
The advisory indicates a high possibility of traffic congestion in Rajpura city and along the Rajpura–Zirakpur stretch. Police personnel will be deployed across all diversion points to regulate movement and assist commuters.
Officials have appealed to the public to cooperate and plan their travel in advance to avoid inconvenience.
