8.250 KG HEROIN RECOVERED BY ANTF, ONE ARRESTED

In a major breakthrough, the sleuths belonging to the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) have arrested a drug smuggler and recovered 8.250 kg of heroin during a special operation near the Indo-Pak border.

As per information, following specific inputs, ANTF Ferozepur conducted a targeted operation and nabbed the accused identified as Bagicha Singh, son of Parmjit Singh, resident of Village Gatti Rajo Ke in this border District Ferozepur and recovered 8.250 kg heroin from him.

A case has been registered against the accused under section 21,23 of NDPS Act at the ANTF Police Station at SAS Nagar (FIR No. 294).

ANTF officials said that the accused was in touch with the Pakistani smugglers and used to receive the consignment with the help of drone. “Paramjit Singh, father of the accused besides his brothers Amandeep Singh had been arrested by the police following recovery of 4.5 kg heroin two months ago”, said ANTF officials.
