ANIL VIJ RECOMMEND CBI PROBE IN FIVE YEARS OLD MURDER CASE

CBI Probe Recommended in 5-Year-Old Murder Case After No Arrests; directions Issued by Haryana Energy Minister Anil Vij in Kaithal Grievance Committee Meeting, FIR Ordered Against Police Personnel for Ignoring Harassment Complaint Despite Evidence. Committees Formed in Four Cases; Strict Directions to Police—One Case Promptly Raided During Meeting

Haryana Energy Minister Sh. Anil Vij, while chairing the District Grievance Redressal Committee meeting in Kaithal today, issued strong directions across several sensitive cases, including recommending a CBI investigation in a 5-year-old murder case where no arrests had been made so far.

In another matter, after a young woman complained of harassment and alleged that police ignored her despite providing evidence, Vij directed an FIR against the concerned police personnel. Additionally, in four separate cases, fact-finding committees were constituted, with instructions to submit their reports at the next meeting.
The Minister presided over the meeting where 15 complaints—nine old and six new—were heard, and multiple greivacnes were resolved on the spot.

Zero FIR and Strict Compliance for Cheating Case

In a fraud case involving sending a girl abroad, Vij directed the SP to register a Zero FIR in Kaithal instead of Chandigarh and ensure strict compliance with Committee directives. In a case concerning Rs.5,600 deducted from the account of a complainant, Vij termed the cash refund improper and ordered a vigilance inquiry committee under the ADC.

In another case alleging false FIR and failure to act on a counter-complaint, Vij directed the police to recommend departmental action to the Education Department against the concerned official.
Recommended to CBI for Unsolved 2020 Murder Case

In the significant 2020 murder case where the victim’s family reported no arrests, even though a suspect fled abroad, Vij expressed dissatisfaction with the police investigation and recommended a CBI probe. He directed the Deputy Commissioner to take action through the Chief Secretary to initiate CBI investigation procedures. In a complaint involving incorrect name entry in a Family ID, Vij ordered and FIR against the CSC operator, Complete audit of the operator’s records and Action against all individuals found involved.

In cases involving canal land and revenue records, Vij reviewed reports and directed action based on committee findings. In a complaint regarding illegal occupation over canal land, Vij pulled up the police and irrigation department for delays and ordered high-level inquiries into both departments. In a case where a newborn’s birth certificate incorrectly mentioned another hospital's name, Vij ordered, A committee under the CMO formed and Correction of the hospital name and Submission of a detailed report.

In a domestic violence case, where the complainant also alleged opium trade and illegal weapons at her husband’s residence, Vij took immediate action and Ordered simultaneous raids at the husband’s houses in Kaithal and Narwana and Directed police to transfer the case to Hansi, as requested by the complainant. After a mother complained that her daughter was being harassed through obscene WhatsApp and Telegram messages and police failed to act despite receiving evidence, Vij ordered that FIR against the negligent police employeea and he instructed police to register FIRs without delay in crimes against women.

In a case involving production of fake milk, paneer and other dairy items, The Food Safety Officer revealed three failed samples and cases already filed, Sh.Vij immediately contacted the department’s ACS over phone and ordered the dairy to be sealed immediately, stating that public health cannot be compromised. For residents of Dayora village complaining about high-voltage power lines passing above homes, Vij ordered relocation of the power line, as alternative land was identified by committee members. Similarly, A widow’s pension case was resolved instantly as the department confirmed her pension had begun.

After the grievance committee meeting, Minister Vij personally heard complaints brought by citizens and directed the DC and SP to take required action in each complaint. BJP District President Jyoti Saini, senior BJP leaders, District Administration officials including DC Preeti, SP Upasana, and various SDMs, EXENs and officers from departments across Kaithal district were present.
