SOHAIL RETURNS HOME AFTER SPENDING TWO MONTHS IN VIVEK ASHRAM

On the night of October 6, Child Helpline Sriganganagar found a child abandoned in the railway station premises. The Child Helpline provided protection to Sohail and presented him before the Child Welfare Committee. He was sent to Vivek Ashram for shelter. 

During counselling by the Child Helpline team, Sohail was unable to provide his full address and other information. In periodical counselling, the child explained that his father sells sweets at a square in Pilani. The child's family was traced with the help of the Jhunjhunu Child Helpline. 

CWC Chairman Joginder Kaushik stated that the boy's residence was located during ongoing counselling. He was periodically shown videos of various areas, in which he recognized a mosque in Pilani and Jhunjhunu. The CWC contacted the Jhunjhunu counterparts and the Child Helpline, and requested stakeholders at the relevant police station to locate the boy's family by submitting a social audit report. 

CWC member Dr. Ram Prakash Sharma stated that the boy's family was located, and the boy has returned home today. The boy's family reported that Sohail was brought from Pilani to Rajgarh by train. He escaped and boarded another train from Rajgarh to Sriganganagar. 

The Child Welfare Committee, Sriganganagar, has ordered the child's transfer to the Child Welfare Committee, Jhunjhunu. 

At the time of the boy's return home, CWC Chairman Joginder Kaushik, member Dr. Ram Prakash Sharma, Child Helpline Coordinator Trilok Verma, Havildar Jaipal Lava from Reserve Police Line, Swami Anantanand Ji, Director of Vivek Ashram were present.
