On the occasion of the Lohri festival, members of the Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation Pakistan, led by its Chairman Imtiaz Rasheed Qureshi, paid a solemn visit to the grave of legendary revolutionary folk hero Dulla Bhatti at the historic Miani Sahib Graveyard, Lahore.

The members included Malkat Ihtesham-ul-Hassan, senior vice chairman of the Foundation. They offered prayers for the elevation of Dulla Bhatti’s ranks and paid tribute to his unmatched courage, humanity, and resistance against tyranny.

Dulla Bhatti remains alive in the collective conscience of the people, which is why the Lohri festival is celebrated across the world in his remembrance. Dulla Bhatti set a timeless example of human dignity, interfaith respect, and moral courage in rescuing a Hindu girl.

Qureshi said that Dulla Bhatti was not merely a historical figure but a living symbol of resistance, honor, and protection of the oppressed. He stated that Dulla Bhatti openly challenged the Mughal emperors at a time when imperial power was intoxicated with arrogance and brutality. “Dulla Bhatti stood like a wall against injustice when silence was considered survival,” he added.
