Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria’s four-day awareness Padyatra is to be taken out in the border districts of Tarn Taran, Ferozepur and Fazilka to further strengthen the war against drugs in the state, which he will personally lead.
On February 11, the Governor will visit the Jattwali Rehabilitation Center of Fazilka. He will pay homage at the Asaf Wala War Memorial. After this, will lead Padyatra from Cinema to Ghanta Ghar Fazilka and will hold a meeting with the Village Security Committees (VDCs) of the border district.
On Thursday, February 12, the Governor will lead the Padyatra from Municipal Corporation Office Abohar to DAV College Abohar.
Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) will fully support the initiative of Punjab Governor. Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, PUCA and Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, fully assured the Governor that all educational institutions in these regions would actively support this initiative.
Dr. Kataria said that Anirudh Gupta, Davinder Pal Singh Rimpy, Hira Lal Sharma, Parveen Garg, Rajesh Bhardwaj and Jagjit Singh will serve as coordinators for different regions during this awareness march. Karan Gilhotra Foundation from Fazilka will extend its support to the campaign. The closing ceremony of the Padyatra will be organized in Abohar, where Abhishek College, Jain College, Meera College, GGS College, and others will support the event. PUCA will also honor the Governor for this significant initiative.
