A 'Farewell' was organized at Raj Bhavan in honor of Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar. Lady Governor Anagha Arlekar was also present on the occasion.
The Governor expressed his gratitude for the immense affection shown to him by the people of the State. He said that he was taking back the sweet memories of his tenure in the State and he has learned a lot by staying here.
The people of the state have affinity and believe in sharing love. He can never forget the hospitality here. "Himachal Pradesh was not only the land of gods but also the 'land of love' and I am taking this wealth along with me," said the Governor adding that he got cooperation from every section in the efforts he made in the interest of the State and this teamwork would continue to impress him.
He said that this experience would be very useful in discharging his new responsibility as a Governor of Bihar. “I belong to a simple family and what I learnt after coming here and the respect I got can’t be compared”, said Sh. Arlekar.
Secretary to the Governor Rajesh Sharma honored the Governor and the Lady Governor and recalled various social projects started by the Governor in the State and thanked them for their guidance.
