The Teej festival was organized by the women's wing of the Arorvansh Sabha with great fanfare at Arorvansh Dharamshala on Saturday.
The program was started by lighting the lamp by former councillor Suvarsha Narang and DSP Atul Soni's wife Shalini Soni.
Surinder Chanchal and Aman Kumar enthralled the audience by presenting songs. Tombola and other attractive games were held for women while dance and song competitions were organized for children. Five women were crowned as Teej Queens.
Women Wing president Geetu Bathla and Chairperson Ritu Beri expressed gratitude to the audience. MD College of Education director Anurag Asija and his wife Shubha announced a special scholarship for the girls belonging to the Arora community who will study in the college. Dr Jagdish Takkar also announced concessions on lab tests.
Attractive stalls of henna, Punjabi suits, Paranda, jutties and bangles were set up. Ritu Beri and Pearl Narang conducted the stage. Arorvansh Sabha president Rakesh Chhabra congratulated the women wing for the success of the function.
