As per the instructions of Police Commissioner Mr. Shibas Kabiraj, Inspector Nirmal Singh Detective Staff and his team under the leadership of ACP Crime Arvind Kamboj, the accused , who made a WhatsApp call to the warehouse owner demanding Rs. 50 lacs ransom, have been arrested. he accused dentified as Rahul alias Monty Rana alias Chikli s/o Rakesh Vasi of Village Aungadh Nising District Karnal.
Police said, 18.05.2023, when the victim Baljit resident of village Kauna Pinjore was sleeping at his house around 12 o'clock in the night, there was a sound of breaking of glass outside, due to which the victim and his family came outside in the courtyard of the house and seen broken bottle of beer was found at the door of the house and the glasses of Thar standing outside the house were found broken, then at around 12.40 in the night.
During investigation, which carried out by Inspector Nirmal Singh, it was found that the above person Rahul alias Monty, who is lodged in Yamunanagar Jail for attempt to murder and extortion in Yamunanagar. The accused was brought on production warrant from from Yamunanagar and taken 4 days police remanded for further interrogation.
Later he received a call on the victim's mobile from a stranger WhatsApp number and said that this message is from Goldy Brar and give give 20 lakh rupees and will have to pay 2 lakh rupees every month and this is still the trailer, after that a call came the next day at 11.35 AM saying that he is speaking Goldy Brar and you must have seen the trailer at night.
It is small and big can also do it, I want to take money from you, I could have done big loss to you, but tie 50 lakh rupees and you have to pay Rs. 2.5 lakh rupees a month and first give 15 lakh rupees, otherwise I will shoot you and I will kill whoever is found at your house.
Ultimately victim lodged a complaint in Police Station Pinjore and case was registered under section 387,427,506 of IPC.
