Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala directed the officers to explore the feasibility of constructing new airstrips in Nuh and Gurugram districts on Mumbai Expressway, as well as on Delhi-Jammu Katra Expressway in Jind and Kaithal districts. He instructed officers to submit a plan at the earliest.
In addition, plans should be developed for creating a drone manufacturing base in the state, he added. He further directed the officers to provide frequent updates regarding Hisar Airport work in order to accomplish the tasks within stipulated time.
The Deputy CM, who also holds the portfolio of Civil Aviation Department, was presiding over the meeting of departmental officers here today.
Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that hangars will be built at airstrips in Karnal, Bhiwani, Narnaul and Pinjore. He directed to start MRO (Maintenance Repair and Overhaul) at all other airstrips of the state except Narnaul.
Apart from the above works, the Deputy Chief Minister reviewed the ongoing works at Hisar Airport and various airstrips of the state.
In the review meeting, Sh. Dushyant Chautala was apprised that the provision of temporary ATC is being established till the construction of new standard ATC, tenders are being opened soon. Apart from this, the Deputy CM reviewed the progress of associated airside works including monsoon drain, isolation bay, vehicular lane, navigation aids, security watch-towers, perimeter road etc. Officers informed that the work of shifting 132 KV EHT power lines from the airport area is in progress and will be completed soon. While reviewing the shifting of Rana Minor, drainage and sewerage system, solar park and dozens of other projects, the Deputy CM directed the officers to complete all the works of Hisar Airport and other related projects in a time bound manner.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of Civil and Aviation Department Sh. Raja Sekhar Vundru, Advisor, Civil Aviation, Sh. Shekhar Vidyarthi and other senior officers were present.
