TRIBUTES PAID TO OCTOGENARIAN SWAMI ON 51ST DEATH ANNIVERSARY

While addressing a programme organized at the Sahitya Sadan to pay tributes to its founder Swami Keshwanand on his 51st death anniversary, Sub-Divisional magistrate Akash Bansal IAS said that as an alumnus of DAV School, it is a matter of pride for him to know that Swamiji not only established around 300 schools but also played an important role in planting DAV education saplings in Abohar.

Being the workplace of such a person, Abohar will remember the achievements of Swamiji, who was a beacon of light in the field of language and literature, with respect for centuries.

Dr. Rekha Sood Handa, Principal of Gopichand Arya Mahila College, who did the Hindi translation of M.M. Juneja’s English book on the life of Swami Keshwanand, Anurag Nagpal, Principal of Swami Keshwanand SKN Sr Sec School, Dr. Sandeep Watts, Manager of Sahitya Sadan, Lekhak Parishad president Raj Sadosh spoke about two-time MP Swamiji’s noble work.

On the occasion, educationist Saroj Nagpal, Raj Sadosh, Government Girl Sr Sec School teacher Sunita, brilliant students of DAV and SKN institutions Surinder Singh, Rahul Limba, Kanchan, Rajni and Sagar and social activist Vipin Sharma were honoured.

Chief Guest SDM Akash Bansal also planted a saplingand visited the library and museum. The guests were welcomed by the head of Sahitya Sadan, Suryakant Rinwa. Havan Yajna was also organized under the guidance of Ashok Shastri.
