CHANDIGARH POLICE NABS ONE ACCUSED SELLING DUPLICATE MAGNA

In a major breakthrough Chandigarh police has achieved a major success by arresting one person who is selling duplicate Commando Magna falsifying product of similar packing of Cavanders Megna Brand

Police said,  a complaint has been received from Mr. Romesh Kumar Director for Speed search Security networks Pvt. Ltd. Office at SCO No. 130-131 4th floor Sector 34 Chandigarh wherein he alleged that he is the constituted attorney duly authorized to sign and verify this complaint on behalf of M/S Godfrey Philips India Limited having its brands four Square, Red and white, Cavanders, Tipper and North Pole etc. for products e.g. cigarettes, Tobacco Products etc. are being manufactured and sold in the marke

It has recently come to our notice that some unscrupulous persons/firms are indulging in manufacturing, printing, marketing distributing, stocking, selling spurious/ duplicate/ similar products of the said brands which clearly amounts to falsifying the complainant company is trade mark. As a result of which the general public is being cheated, government is losing on revenue and the image of the company is also being tarnished.

It is further submitted that as per their information, the owner of one shop at Old Ropar Road, Manimajra, Chandigarh is indulging in nefarious activities of manufacturing/ stocking/ printing and trade selling duplicate/ similar of Cigarettes, tobacco products etc.

During the inquiry of complaint raid has been conducted by Sh. Abhinandan P. SDPO/North East at Shop Maa Bhagwati a, Panchkula, Old Roper Road, Manimajra, Chandigarh where one big cardboard box, containing 35 boxes which contains 700 Packet of cigarettes on which commando Magna was printed then all the boxed were seized, during further inquiry the owner of Maa Bhagwati did not produced any valid documents of the above mentioned cigarettes.

Then the case FIR No. 104 Dated 14.09.2023 has been registered under section 103, 104, Trade Mark Act 1999, 420 IPC against the person and the accused has been arrested and will be produced before the Hon’ble court tomorrow. Further investigations are going on.
