Uttarakhand Jan Kalyan Samiti Reg. 'Maa Nanda Devi' ceremony was organized by Mohali. This ceremony was organized in the open ground (behind Bestak Mall), Sector 66 Mohali, in which a large number of locals and Uttarakhandi migrants along with their families participated.
In this ceremony, a procession of Maa Nanda Devi was taken out with Uttarakhandi customs, which passed through the city and reached the ceremony in the presence of the Kirtan troupe of Tricity and the officials of all the Sabhas. The function was organized after Mata's Bhandara. In this program, a grand procession of Maa Nanda Devi was organized in Uttarakhandi customs with special attire like Doli, Chhatoli, Dhol, Damau and 11 Pandits accompanied by 11 Shankhanand and bells. Thousands of people participated in this Yatra.

He said that this grand function was very wonderful and people enjoyed the bhajans of Mata.
Satnam Singh Sandhu (Chancellor Chandigarh University) from Tricity, MLA from Tharali Assembly constituency of Uttarakhand Bhupal Ram Tamta, former Punjab Minister and BJP Vice President Balbir Singh Sidhu, Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh, industrialist Anil Devli were present as chief guests in this function, BJP Mohali District President Sanjeev Vashisht, Arvind Baluni from TDS Group, Mayor Amarjeet Singh Sidhu, Shiv Sena in-charge Chandigarh Rohit Sharma marked their presence.
