The sleuths belonging to Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Punjab police arrested three drug smugglers and recovered 1.872 kg heroin from them.
While divulging details, SP (D) Randhir Kumar said that following the inputs, the police nabbed the accused identified as Gurcharan Singh alias Channa resident of Bhamba Vattu village, Sukhdev Singh alias Sukha resident of Chakk Khiva village and Sunil Singh alias Lovely resident of Dhani Qadim Dhani Natha Singh (All in Fazilka district) while they were coming on a bike (PB 22 6337) near Saide ke village in Guruharsahai sub-division.
“During the frisking, the police recovered 1.872 Kg heroin from them”, said SP.
Following the recovery, the accused were booked under sections 21-C, 61, 85 NDPS Act at Guruharsahai police station (FIR No. 189 Dated 26.09.23).
In other case, the police arrested one Jang Singh, resident of Panje ke uthar village in Guruharsahai and recovered 1010 intoxicating tablets and drug money of Rs. 2.31 Lakh from them. The accused was booked under NDPS Act at Guruharsahai police station (FIR No. 190 Dated 26.09.2023).
