For Punjab University Teachers Association (PUTA) elections, Prof. Navdeep Goyal's Ratan-Kashmir team discussed the election issues during the press meet and went door-to-door to the PUTA members and presented their manifesto to the teachers.

Giving information, Pro. Ratan Singh said that his panel is committed to empowering teachers and protecting their unity and their rights. He said that PUTA should be revived not just for the privilege of a few but to restore its dynamic efficacy and democratic functioning as a team!

He informed that his panel's manifesto includes various important issues keeping in mind the interests of teachers which it will work tirelessly to achieve in 2023-24:

Such as getting the pending arrears of the seventh pay scale cleared, getting CAS promotion done for the Dental College Faculty, getting the benefit of past service, resolving Clause 6.3, regular GBM and PUTA meetings, getting the old pension scheme restored for all, getting regular maintenance of houses done, Post-2016 Ph.D.

Increment, providing child care leave as per the rules of the Central Government, security and traffic management in the campus, increasing the retirement age to 65 years, fast track faculty recruitment, following the one person one post rule, cashless health care scheme for the faculty, Bringing remuneration related information on the exam portal, meeting the infrastructure requirement for the faculty, removing bottlenecks at ARO level, group insurance policy of Rs 20 lakh for faculty members in case of any accident,........
