CM INAUGURATED MULTI-STOREY PARKING AT HISTORIC SRI NADA SAHIB GURDWARA PANCHKULA

CM PAID OBEISANCE AT SHRI NADA SAHIB GURUDWARA, WISHED FOR THE PROSPERITY OF THE PEOPLE, GURU NANAK DEV JI GAVE THE MESSAGE NOT FOR ANY PARTICULAR SOCIETY BUT FOR THE WELFARE OF THE ENTIRE HUMANITY - CM

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh Manohar Lal today bestowed a gift upon the people on the occasion of Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji by inaugurating a multi-storey parking facility at Shri Nada Sahib Gurudwara in Panchkula. 

During this significant event, the Chief Minister also paid obeisance at the historic Shri Nada Sahib Gurudwara and wished for the prosperity of the people of the state and country. Haryana Assembly Speaker, Sh. Gian Chand Gupta and General Secretary of Haryana Gurudwara Management Committee, Mr. Ramnik Singh Mann also present on this occasion. 

While interacting with media persons, the Chief Minister said that PRASAD Yojana is being implemented with the aim of overall development of pilgrimage and religious places across the country. Under this scheme, multi-storey parking was constructed in Gurudwara Nada Sahib, which was inaugurated today on the auspicious occasion of Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He himself laid the foundation stone of this parking on 27 October 2020.

The construction of this parking, built on approximately 9500 square meters, has cost over Rs 13.55 crore and 300 vehicles can be parked in it. He said that with the construction of this parking, better vehicle parking facilities will be available to the visitors and devotees coming from faraway places.

In response to a question, Sh Manohar Lal said that all the people of Guru tradition are associated with Kapal Mochan Tirtha and lakhs of people visit the holy place to take bath. Yesterday evening also around 5 lakh people took bath. Similarly, a large number of devotees visit Gurudwara Nada Sahib also. He has also got the opportunity to visit Nada Sahib Gurudwara today on the occasion of Guru Prakash Parv. He said that he has bowed his head in Gurughar and prayed for the well-being of the people.

In response to a question regarding the life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Sh Manohar Lal said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji laid more emphasis on Guru Bhakti. Referring to a couplet of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, "Nanak Naam Chaddhi Kalan, Tere Bhaane Sarbat Da Bhala", he said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji did not give the message for the welfare of any particular society but for the welfare of the entire humanity. He gave the message to the people to stay away from evils and said that by praying to God, evils automatically go away. He also worked against drugs. Guru ji’s teachings are relevant even today and the Haryana Government is working to propagate and disseminate his teachings in the same manner. 

In response to a question regarding the announcement of free education in colleges for the daughters of poor families, Mr. Manohar Lal said that in the degree colleges of Arts, Science and Commerce in the state, students of poor families with an annual income of Rs 1.80 lakh will also be given free education in private colleges. The state government will reimburse the fees of such daughters. Apart from this, 50 percent of the fees of daughters of families with annual income of Rs 1.80 lakh to Rs 3 lakh will be reimbursed by the government.
