The investigation into the case of executing Sale deeds with fake No objection Certificates (NOCs) in Dera Bassi Tehsil of Mohali Distt., was still pending even after passing of three months of highlighting the big multi crores scam and loss of govt. exchequres.
The Tehsil Office and Council has not provided the record to the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which was constituted by the higher authorities to investigat the whole of the matter.
On the 3rd of November, SIT member Police Chief Ajitesh Kaushal himself came to the tehsil office with a white paper for the record, even after a month, he could not get the record. SIT member and ASP Derabassi Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia said that the investigation is pending due to non-receipt of records, another reminder has been sent to get the records.
In the month of September, the case of registration with fake NOC came to light. An investigation was initiated by Municipal Council and found that 175 out of 850 sale deeds were found to be with fake NOCs. In the complaint given to the police, the council talked about registering a case against the unknown. After investigation, the police named 4 persons in the case.
After that, for investigation, the SIT first asked for the record of the NOC issued by the Municipal Council, then asked for the record of all the registrations made in the month of July, August and September, 2023 from the tehsil, which has not been given yet.

When such a big issue came to light, it was found that till the month of August of the current year, about 5500 sale deed were executed in Derabassi. The records of only about 850 registries with NOC attached were given to the municipal council by the tehsil office. About 175 of them turned out to be fake.
The record sought by the SIT will check how many Sake deeds were executed without NOC or on fake NOCs.
When such a big issue came to light, it was found that till the month of August of the current year, about 5500 sale deed were executed in Derabassi. The records of only about 850 registries with NOC attached were given to the municipal council by the tehsil office. About 175 of them turned out to be fake.
It has also been found that there are several hundreds of registries with bogus NOC registrations which were removed from the records after being registered. Not only these, there may be a huge number of such registries which are done without NOC. That is why SIT is repeatedly asking for records.
LOSS OF CRORES OF RUPEES
The people of the area says that the AAP GOVT, claims to end corruption in the State, but the Tehsil office was not providing records to SIT in 3 months. SIT could not find the records, as the tehsil is located at a short distance from Derabassi police station. People are also surprised that the government which does not delay in taking action against its own ministers, why the Aam Aadmi government is not giving the investigation of this matter to the Vigilance Bureau.
Surpirisingly, the wife of Mr. Harjot Bans Dr. Jyoti Yadav was also a member of the SIT constituted by the higher authorities.
Apart from these, ASP Derabassi Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia (IPS) and Derabassi police chief Ajitesh Kaushal were also included as members of the SIT. Despite of this this, administrative officials are taking the sit lightly, delaying the release of records and stalling the investigation.
On talking to Tehsildar Harinderjit Singh Poonia, he said that the clerk's strike is going on, due to which there has been a delay in giving the records.
