Assam beat UT girls by four wickets in the Seniors ODI tournament being played at Puducherry. Chandigarh won the toss and elected to bat first followed by a prolific batting by unbeaten Shivi Pandey (88). Team posted 183/3 in stipulated fifty overs. Skipper Aaradhana Bisht contributed 49 runs while Shivangi added 36 runs. In reply, Chandigarh’s bowlers dominated the inning initially and reduced the opposition to 120/6 at one stage. But the 65-run partnership of Ruhina Pegu (43) and Jintimani Kalita (41) steered Assam to win in the 49th over. Priyanka Guleria (2/38) and Rajni Devi (2/41) took two wickets each.
