'Mera Parivar-Meri Pehchaan' is the theme of Haryana tableau on the Republic Day this year. For the third time, Haryana's tableau has been selected by the expert committee of the Defense Ministry for display on the Kartavya path. Haryana is already doing excellent work across the country for its online services.

Director General of Information, Public Relations and Language Department, Haryana, Mr. Mandeep Singh Brar, while talking to media persons in Rashtriya Rangshala Camp at New Delhi today, said that the Scheme 'Mera Parivar-Meri Pehchaan' has been started to provide government facilities and services to the common people at their doorstep, without even asking or applying for it.

Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal is taking Haryana forward on the path of development by implementing unique schemes in the state with innovative thinking. Many of the schemes of Haryana are now being adopted by several other states and the Central Government too. This time Haryana's tableau goes well with the theme of the Government of India's - 'Viksit Bharat’ theme, wherein heritage and development are mixed homogeneously.

He said that the process of selection of tableau of states, union territories and different ministries usually start every year in the month of November by the expert committee constituted by the Defense Ministry, in which all the states, union territories and ministries submit their themes for tableaux. The expert committee selects the tableaux on the basis of relevance and theme suggested by the Central Government.

Director General Shri Brar said that it is a matter of joy that for the third consecutive time Haryana's tableau is becoming a part of the Republic Day Parade this year. Last year, on Republic Day, Haryana had displayed a tableau on the theme of 'International Geeta Mahotsav'. Earlier, Haryana displayed its tableau on the theme 'Number One Haryana in Sports' highlighting its achievements in sports.

Mr Brar said that Haryana may be a small state geographically but it has always been in the forefront in the country in many fields including industry, agriculture and Ease of Doing Business. Shri Brar said that due to the visionary thinking of Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal, the state of Haryana has established many milestones including creating modern hi-tech infrastructure to realize the dream of making the country a developed nation. This year the tableau of the state of Haryana is showcasing the ‘new India’, which is moving forward under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Director General Shri Brar said that the tableau exhibits women empowerment, digitisation of services, improvement in standard of education, industrial growth besides the treasures of ancient civilization found in Rakhi Garhi of Hisar and above all the benefits of Parivar Pehchan Patra ( Family ID). It shows how working digitally, benefits of government schemes can be provided directly at the doorstep of beneficiaries through Parivar Pehchan Patra(PPP).

Opportunities for women empowerment through flower farming have also been shown. In the front portion (tractor portion) of the tableau, a girl student is depicted with a tablet in her hand, which is a symbol of the success of the state in line with the vision of Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal to make the ‘Digital India’ campaign a success starting from the grassroot level.

He said that the benefits of Parivar Pehchan Patra have been depicted on the circular edge in the middle of the front portion of the tableau, through which people can see that the benefits of all government facilities like ration distribution, agricultural subsidy, scholarship, medical aid and pension scheme for the elderly etc can be obtained easily and in hassle free manner.

The tableau also depicts a group of women farmers working in a flower field, which in itself is a symbol of women empowerment. Director General Shri Brar said that on both sides of the rear part of tableau, there are wall paintings of the most ancient civilization found from excavations in Rakhigarhi, Hisar. The tail part of the tableau seems to represent the spirit of the new and modern India, in which the urban development model of Gurugram is shown with improved infrastructure like roads and metro connectivity.

He told that this time on the occasion of Republic Day, the pride of the new advanced India is being celebrated. The picture of metro system in Haryana, unique model of urban development, industrialization, Haryana emerging as IT hub and Haryana as a leader in developing modern infrastructure has been displayed in this tableau.

The Director General said that Parivar Pehchan Patra is a unique scheme of the Haryana government which enables a person to avail the government services from his nearest Common Service Centre, instead of visiting the government offices. He told that this is such a scheme in which a person starts getting benefits from the day he becomes eligible for the scheme.

For example, when a person turns 60 years of age, he is considered as eligible for old age pension through the portal itself and the pension is started automatically after taking his consent. Similarly, if a youth completes the age of 18 years, he gets a message that he or she is eligible to become a voter and through one online application, he or she can get himself or herself registered as a voter and his or her Voter ID Card is also made.
