Punjab Governor and Administrator of Chandigarh Administration Sh. Banwari Lal Purohit resiged from the post on Saturday.
Sh. Purohit has sent resignation letter to President of India.
In his resignation to Smt. Droupadi Murmu, President of India, , Sh. Purohit said, due to my personal reasons and certain other commitments, I tender my resignation from the post of the Governor of Punjab and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh. Please accept the same and oblige.
The President, yet has not accepted the resignation of Punjab Governor.
