In a major breakthrough, the Police reported to have arrested six accused so far in firing of house of Kuldeep singh Makkar in Sector 5 Chandigarh on January 19th last.
In this regard case FIR No. 04 DATED 20.01.2024 U/S 384, 336, 506, 120 B IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act, PS-03, was registered.
The above said case has been registered on the complaint of Sh. Kuldeep Singh s/o Late Sardar Roshan Singh, r/o # 71, Sector-05, Chandigarh, in which he stated that on the 19.01.2024 at about 04:14 AM, some unknown persons fired at his residence in order to extort money. Further, on the same day he received a call on his whatsapp number from an international number in order to extort money amounting Rs 2 Crore from him.
During the course of investigation a SIT, was constituted under by SSP/UT, Chandigarh, under the supervision of DSP/DCC.
On 24.01.2024, on the basis of techniques and human intelligence, teams of District Crime Cell and PS-03, apprehended one accused namely Gurwinder Singh @ Laddi S/O Avtar Singh, R/o Village-Kartarpur, Distt. Mohali, Pb. Age-26 years from near village Kartarpur and recovered 02 live Cartridges and 01 Motorcycle used in Crime from his possession. During the police remand and interrogation of accused Gurwinder Singh @ Laddi, three other accused namely Kashi Singh @ Harry of Rajpura, Amritpal @ Gujjar of Banur and Kamalpreet Singh of Banur have been identified indulge in the Crime.
On 28.01.2024, on secret information, one more accused namely Kashi Singh @ Harry s/o Balwinder Singh, r/o Village Jakhepal, Rajpura, Distt Patiala Punjab was arrested from Dhanas area, Chandigarh. During the interrogation of accused Kashi Singh statement u/s 27 EV Act was recorded, in which he disclosed that Amritpal @ Gujjar handed over the weapons after committing the crime to one person namely Shubham @ Pandit, who is a part of execution the crime, who hails from Banur.
On 01.02.2024, a team of District Crime Cell on the directions of Ms.KanwardeepKaur, IPS, SSP/UT and under the supervision of Sh. S.P.S. Sondhi, DSP/DCC and Insp. Jasminder Singh, I/C, DCC on a secret information, raided at Village Raipur Kacheri, Bihar and apprehended accused Shubham Kumar Giri @ Pandit S/o Ajay Giri, r/o Saniyr Wala Mohhalla, near Hanuman Mandir, Purana Bazar, Village Banur, Distt. Mohali, Punjab, who is Permanent resident of Village Rampur Kacheri, PS Chhaurai, Distt. Begusarai, Bihar Age 19 years, from Village Rampur, PS-Chhudai, Disst Begusarai, Bihar.
Accused Shubham Kumar Giri @ Pandit disclosed that he helped Amritpal Gujjar in hiding weapons after commission of the crime for safe custody.
On 04.02.2024, on the basis of investigation and secret information andon the directions of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, SSP/UT under the supervision of Sh. S.P.S. Sondhi, DSP/DCC and InspJ asminder Singh, I/C, DCC, team of District Crime Cell in joint operation with AGTF Punjab Police and Gorakahpur Police, UP arrested three accused associates of foreign based Gangster Goldy Brar, namely Amritpal @ Gujjar s/o Shamsher Singh, Vill.Kaloli, PS Banur, Distt Mohali Pb age 26 years, Kamalpreet Singh s/o Inderjit Singh, r/o Vill DevinagarAbrawa, PS Banur, Distt Mohali, PB age 18 years, Prem Singh, s/o Bhagwant Singh, Vill. Amlala, PS Derabassi, Distt Mohali, Pb age 25 years from Distt. Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. On the interrogation of main accused Amritpal @ Gujjar, disclosed that he is in touch with Gangster Goldy Brar and acts on his behest, who also helped in hiding them in UP and Bihar. Further Amritpal @ Gujjar, disclosed that Gangster Goldy Brar was helping all of them to escape to Nepal.
On Monday all three accused Amritpal @ Gujjar s/o Shamsher Singh, Kamalpreet Singh s/o Inderjit Singh and Prem Singh, s/o Bhagwant Singh have been produced before the Hon’ble Court to get 4 days police remand of accused Amritpal @ Gujjar, Kamalpreet Singh, Prem Singh, 2 days police remand of accused Kashi and Shubham Giri @ Pandit in order to recover the weapons, vehicle and mobile phones usedin the crime.
KNOW THE ACCUSED: Amritpal Singh @ Gujjar (26) s/O Shamsher Singh, presently residing Kaloli, PS Banur, Distt Mohali , Qualification :- 10th, still unemployed.
