SITs TO INVESTIGATE PENDING CASES OF MURDER, IMMIGRATION, ACCIDENT

HOME MINISTER FORMS 6 SITS FOR SWIFT ACTION IN SEVERAL CASES, ISSUES DIRECTIONS TO REPLACE IOS WHO FAILED TO CONDUCT PROPER INVESTIGATIONS IN SEVERAL CASES

Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij listened to the problems of hundreds of complainants from all corners of the state at his residence in Ambala on Saturday.

While listening to the grievances of the public, Sh. Vij directed the formation of six separate Special Investigation Teams (SITs) for investigating cases of murder and other offences and also directed to replace Investigating Officers (IOs) who failed to conduct proper investigations in several cases. He assigned the investigation of many cases related to immigration fraud to the SIT.

The list of cases, in which the Home Minister had directed to form SITs include pending murder cases in Mahendragarh and Sonipat, an accident case in Charkhi Dadri, illegal encroachment in Palwal, and illegal occupancy.

Case details

A complainant from Mahendragarh informed Sh. Anil Vij that his brother was murdered by arsonists. In this case, the police have not yet arrested all the accused, and the investigation is also not progressing swiftly. The Home Minister directed the SP, Mahendragarh to form an SIT for the investigation.

A family from Kaithal informed the Home Minister that their daughter was murdered by the in-laws in Sonipat. After the death, the police assured them that the accused had been arrested, but until today no case has been registered, and no accused has been arrested. Home Minister, Sh. Anil Vij directed the Sonipat Police Commissioner to form an SIT for the investigation.

The Home Minister directed the formation of SITs to take action in various cases related to immigration fraud. A complainant from Kaithal reported that an agent took Rs. 5 lakh from his brother in the name of sending him to Italy, but instead sent him to Libya, where the police arrested him. Now, his brother is imprisoned.Similarly, a complainant from Kurukshetra said that an agent cheated him of Rs. 11 lakh in the name of sending him to England. Neither was he sent to England nor was the money returned. Likewise, a woman from Barara reported that an agent cheated her husband of Rs. 3 lakh in the name of sending him to Dubai. The agent neither returned the money nor sent her husband abroad.

A woman from Charkhi Dadri said that her husband died in a road accident a few months ago. After the accident, the police only registered a case against the unknown and did not proceed with the investigation. The accused have not been arrested so far. The Home Minister directed the SP, Charkhi Dadri to form an SIT for the investigation.

A complainant from the village Khambi in Palwal informed the Home Minister that some individuals had taken over the village pond. In this matter, he went to court and obtained orders to remove the encroachment. The administration sent a team for action, but influential people prevented the action from taking place. The Home Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner, Palwal to form an SIT and ensure that the court's orders are implemented.

A complainant from Sirsa informed the Home Minister that he had purchased a plot from a property dealer, but when he started construction, some other people claimed their rights on the property. He filed a case in this matter, and when the police checked the revenue records, discrepancies were found. He alleged that employees of the tehsil office were involved in the malpractice. The Home Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner, Sirsa to form an SIT for investigation.

A complainant from Faridabad accused some culprits of land fraud, stating that he was deceived by them. The court ruled in his favour, but the administration is not implementing the decision, and he is not getting his rightful share of the land. The Home Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner, Faridabad to form an SIT for further action.

The Home Minister directed the formation of SITs to take action in various cases related to immigration fraud. Besides this, several other complaints including, illegal encroachment issue raised by the Dera Baba Rajpuri Badi Devi Talab Temple Committee, Kaithal, a disabled person from Karnal accused of defrauding Rs. 6 lakh in the name of securing a job in the Haryana Cooperative Society, murder threats, illegal mining in the danger zone of the Yamuna River etc were place before the Home Minister and taking a strict cognizance on the same, he directed the officers concerned to take prompt action.
