CHANDIGARH POLICE BUSTED INTERNATIONAL DRUG SYNDICATE, ONE INDIAN AND TWO FOREIGN NATIONAL ARRESTED WITH HEROIN AND COCAINE

In a major breakthrough,Police Station-ANTF of Chandigarh  Policeregistered it’s 1st FIR and got a major success while acting against drug suppliers. As per direction of Sh. Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/Crime& HQ, under the guidance of DSP Crime Sh. Udaypal Singh, a team of PS-ANTFunder the supervision ofSHO/Insp.Satvinder busted an international drug syndicate by arresting one Indian and two foreign Nationals and recovered 105.05-grams crack balls of Cocaine & 19.77 Grams Heroinfrom their possession. 

On 16.2.2024police party headed by SI Suresh Kumarwas onpatrolling  duty in the area ofSector 40, Chandigarh.while police party was near Crèche Sec-40 AB Turn, UT, Chandigarh, the team apprehended one person Deepak Thapa and 19.77 Grams Heroin & 20.20-gramcrack balls of cocaine was recovered from his possession. In this regard a case FIR 01 Dt. 16.02.2024 U/S 21 NDPS Act, PS-ANTF, Sec-11, UT Chandigarh was registered against him.

KNOW THE ACCUSED: Deepak Thapa S/o Bhim Bahadur R/o # 4860, GF, Sec-38 West, Chandigarh. Age 26 yrs. He was previously been arrested in murder case and during judicial custody he came in contact with one Nigerian fellow Namely Ola, who was also in judicial custody in narcotic case. After release he continuously remained in connect with that Nigerian fellow and through him Deepak came in contact
some other Nigerians drug suppliers residing in Delhi, who started delivering drugs to Deepak.

During investigation 4 days police remand of accused Deepak Thapa was obtained and he was interrogated thoroughly and his disclosure statement was recorded, in which he disclosed that he purchased the drug from two Nigerians resident of Delhi.Acting upon the information provided by accused Deepak Thapa, team of ANTF conducted raid in Delhi and on the identification of accused Deepak Thapa, two Foreign Nationalswere apprehended from Vikash Nagar PS Rahnola, New Delhi on 19.2.2024 when they were coming for the delivery of drug on Suzuki bike No. DL9SCC7095 and 84.85 grams’crack balls of cocaine was recovered from their possession.Both were produced before the hon’ble court and their police remand was obtained.

Accused Charlie Sagna, Nationality-Senegalaise, East Africa, initially he disclosed his false name as Muagba John @ Nabake S/o John to police at the time of arrest. Who came in India for in July 2023, his visa is already expired.

Profile of accused Daniel Ayitey.

Accused Daniel Ayitey is resident of Nigeria but he could not get a visa for India on his Nigerian passport then he managed a fake visa from Ghanna and entered in India on medical visa only for 2 months from 24.1.2023 to 24.3.2023, which is already expired.

Investigation so far

During investigation raid was conducted at their resident at Delhi and packing material of drug as well asdrug weighing machinewas recovered. The both foreign nationals are in contact with other foreign nationals who provided them drugs. 29 NDPS Act, Section 419 IPC and 14 Foreigner act have been added in the present case.

MODUS OPERANDI: During investigation it come to notice that accused Deepak Thapa used to purchase the heroin and cocaine in bulk from two foreign national resident of Delhi and sell in small quantities to gain high profits.

Team members Team of PS ANTF comprising of SI Suresh, SI Jasbir Singh, SI Baljit Singh, HC Anil Kumar, Sr. C. Sandeep, Sr. C. Dharmender, Sr. C. Narender, Sr. C. Rinku Ram, Sr. C. Jashvir, C. Ravinder, C. Ashok Accused will be produced before the Hon’ble District Court and more police custody will be obtained.
