A joint meeting of officers of Fazilka, Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh districts was held today to coordinate efforts at the inter-state level to prevent the movement of criminals, drugs and money to neighbouring states during the Lok Sabha elections.
Fazilka Deputy Commissioner Dr Senu Duggal presided over this meeting. Sriganganagar District Collector Lok Bandhu and SP Gaurav Yadav besides senior officials of Fazilka and Hanumangarh districts were present.
Sriganganagar DC Lok Bandhu said that the 48 km boundary of Sriganganagar district and 18 km boundary of Hanumangarh border is with Punjab. Anti-social elements will not be allowed to move. He emphasized the need for sharing information besides interaction that will make it very easy to root out bad elements.
DC Dr. Senu Duggal said that it is necessary to have better coordination between Police Excise and other departments. To prevent the inter-state flow of anti-social elements, the border of Punjab and Rajasthan is being sealed, this will be under the surveillance of CCTV cameras. 24 checkpoints are being installed on the border. The movement of liquor and other drugs from one state to another will also be strictly prohibited.

Bikaner IG Om Prakash also joined in this meeting through video conference and said that there will be better coordination between the officers of both the states to conduct fair elections.
Gaurav Yadav SP Sriganganagar said that along with the blockade, the police of the two states will also conduct joint operations against anti-social elements and exchange information with each other.
