The All India Inter University Kayaking, Canoeing and Dragon Boat Men's Championship competitions were held at Sukhna Lake. Manjit Singh Tushir, who won many medals for the country and was India's captain in the Asian Games, and Additional Advocate General Haryana Deepak Sabharwal honored all the winning players on this occasion.
Manjeet said that he himself is an international medalist and he has played an important role in giving recognition to the Indian Dragon Boat team. He motivated the players and encouraged them to gear up for next year's World Cup.

Chd Uni. won the 500 meter event of D-10, while Guru Nanak Dev University got second place and SUK got third place. Same Univ. was also the winner in K-1 1000 meters. Here Guru Nanak Dev University stood second and Punjab University Chandigarh team stood third. Only this University got the title in C-1 1000 meter race.
Guru Nanak Dev University got the second position and Panjab University, Chandigarh got the third position. In K-2 1000 meter race, Chd Univ.stood first, Guru Nanak Dev University stood second and Punjabi University Patiala stood third.
