DURING SPECIAL DERIVE, TEAM OF PP MAJNU KA TILLA, PS CIVIL LINES LED TO NABBING FOUR DRUG PEDDLERS INCLUDING A WOMAN AND ONE JUVENILE ALONG-WITH THE LARGE QUANTITY OF CONTRABAND HEROIN., TOTAL 570.10 GRAMS OF HEROIN, RECOVERED FROM THE POSSESSION OF ALL ACCUSED PERSONS., THE MASTERMIND WOMAN ACCUSED AND HER ASSAILANT HAD ALLURED THE JUVENILE AND HIS ASSOCIATE FOR SUPPLYING THE CONTRABAND DRUGS, SO THEY FELL IN GREED AND INDULGED IN ILLEGAL ACT IN ORDER TO MAKE QUICK MONEY., ALL THE MAJOR ACCUSED PERSONS ARE HABITUAL AND BUDDING CRIMINALS, WHO WERE PREVIOUSLY FOUND INVOLVED IN THE CASES OF NDPS ACT AND GAMBLING ACT, REGISTERED IN POLICE STATIONS, CIVIL LINES AND CRIME BRANCH, DELHI.

INTRODUCTION:PS Civil Lines of North District team has launched a special derive against the active drug peddlers, especially in the area of Majnu Ka Tilla to break the chain of drug supply and persons indulged in supplying of illicit liquor. A special team led by SI Praveen Sharma (In-Charge PP Majnu Ka Tilla), comprising SI Mahi Pal Singh, ASI Arun Singh, HC Vinit Kumar, Ct Vinod Kumar and Woman Ct Sazia has been working relentlessly and developing information about the Drug peddling and persons involved in bootlegging in the area, under the close supervision of Inspr. Rajeev Kumar SHO/PS Civil Lines Delhi and guidance of Ms Vinita Tyagi, ACP/Civil Lines Delhi. The team also used to patrol in the area even in odd hours randomly to keep a check on such illegal activities.
INCIDENT & OPERATION: On 06.05.2024, above said police party was on foot patrolling in the area to keep close watch on the illegal activities. While on patrolling at about 11:55 AM, when the team reached Delhi Jal Board Park, 56 Pahadi, Majnu Ka Tilla. Meanwhile, they noticed two boys, who were standing in the middle of the park and they started moving in speedy steps on seeing the police party. On their suspicious gestures, instantly the valorous police team sprang into the action and both suspects were overpowered and apprehended, who were identified as Wilson Jack, age 25 years and another was identified as a juvenile namely K, age 15 years. After following all measures, personal searching frisking of the suspects were conducted in the presence of ACP/Timarpur and total 30.10 Grams of contraband Heroin/Smack was recovered from their possession.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 255/24 dated 06.05.2024 u/s 21/29 NDPS Act & 78 J.J. Act has been registered at PS Civil Lines, Delhi and the investigation has been taken up by ASI Arun Singh.
Mr. Manoj Kumar Meena IPS, DCP , said, during the course of interrogation and enquiry from the accused persons Wilson Jack, age 25 years and CCL K, age 15 years, they disclosed that one woman namely Neha @ Moti and Aakash, both r/o of either Wazirabad or Jharoda, Burari had allured them for making quick money by supplying the contraband drugs and they used to handover the stock of drugs for selling the same to the needy persons in cluster areas. Hence, they fell in greed and both indulged in such type of illegal activities in order to make easy and quick money.
Subsequently, at the instances of both captured persons, raids were conducted at all possible hideouts of the alleged suppliers of contraband drugs. The dedicated efforts of the police team bore fruits, when the main supplier of drugs identified as Neha @ Moti, age 22 years was apprehended from her rented house situated in Wazirabad on the same day and her assailant identified as Aakash, age 19 years was also apprehended from the jumbled area of Sanjay Akhada on 07.05.2024. At the instance of woman accused, 272 Grams as well as 268 Grams of contraband Heroin was recovered from the possession of accused Aakash, which was seized in police possession.
On sustained interrogation, further it revealed that the woman accused Neha @ Moti and Aakash usually receive the stock of contraband Heroin/Smack from another woman known as A, r/o Raghubir Nagar, Delhi and they further supply the contraband drugs to the dwellers of cluster areas through Wilson Jack and the CCL namely K in order to make quick money.
PROFILES OF ACCUSED PERSONS: Wilson Jack, R/o Aruna Nagar, Majnu Ka Tilla, Delhi, age 25 years. (Previously he was found involved in a case of Gambling Act, registered in PS Civil Lines, Delhi. He is illiterate, who came in the contact of woman accused Neha @ Moti and indulged in criminal activities).
Neha @ Moti, W/o Rahul @ Judi, R/o Aruna Nagar, Majnu Ka Tilla, Delhi, age 22 years. (Previously she was found involved in 02 criminal cases of NDPS Act, registered in Police Stations, Civil Lines and Crime Branch, Delhi. She is the mastermind and she takes the stock from other antisocial elements and further hand over the stock for its supply).
Aakash, R/o Aruna Nagar, Majnu Ka Tilla, Delhi, aged 19 years. (Previously he was found involved in a case of NDPS Act, registered in Crime Branch, Delhi. He is the companion of woman accused).
CCL, namely K, age 15 years.
RECOVERY: Total 570.10 Grams of contraband Heroin.
The investigation of the case is in progress and further efforts are continued to ascertain the role of other associates indulged in this racket as well as to effect more recovery of contraband drugs.
