DIESAL PRANTHA VIRAL VIDEO FOUND FAKE : UT ADMINISTRATION

It came to the notice of the Senior Officers of the Chandigarh Administration that on social media a video became viral by titled as “Diesel Prantha” on 13-5-2024. The Food Safety Wing of the Health Department took cognizance of the issue and immediately investigated the matter and revealed that the viral video pertains to M/s Bablu Dhaba, Bijwara Market, Sector-22, Chandigarh.

The Officer on duty was immediately directed on 13-5-2024 to visit the spot, investigate and report. On investigation it was found that the FBO was not making any Diesel prantha nor the menu of the Dhaba showed any dish by name diesel Prantha, whereas to promote the sale of the Dhaba some blogger by name oyefoodiesingh made the above video and viral the same on the social media, the FBO was not aware of the content of the said video.

With the sincere efforts of the officers of the Food Safety Department, the identity of the Blogger was got revealed and he was called telephonically to which he responded that the above said video has been uploaded on the social media with wrong contents and he deleted the same when it came to his notice.

He was called in the office on 14-5-2024 to explain his position. The Bloogger tendered unconditional apology to the Senior Officers of the Health Department and he made a fresh video for his apology, the same was uploaded by him on the social media platform. He was warned not to commit such type of mistakes in future, to which he gave in writing that he will not do such mistakes in future.

The Food safety & Standards department of Chandigarh Administration, Chandigarh appeal to all the resident / consumers to remain cautious and vigilant about the videos made viral on the social media with regard to promotion / sale of any type of food article in U.T. of Chandigarh and in case any of the consumers observe / see anything contrary to the Food Laws, they may report the matter to the department of Food Safety & Standards, Govt.
