DELHI POLICE NABS ABSCONDING LIFE CONVICT INVOLVED IN TRIPLE MURDER CASE

ACCUSED NITIN VERMA ABSCONDED AFTER BEING RELEASED ON PAROLE FOR OVER A YEAR IN THE YEAR 2008, NITIN VERMA MURDERED HIS PREGNANT WIFE AND PARENTS. THE ACCUSED WAS ADOPTED BY HIS PARENTS.  THE ACCUSED COMMITTED THESE MURDERS DUE TO AN EXTRAMARITAL AFFAIR. AFTER COMMITTING MURDERS, THE ACCUSED ALSO CREATED A SCENE OF HIS ACCIDENT TO SAVE HIMSELF

Team NDR, Sec-8 RK Puram of the Crime Branch has arrested one accused person namely Nitin Verma r/o Palam Colony, Delhi, age 42 years, who was absconding after being released on parole in a triple murder case registered vide FIR No. 243/08 dated 19.04.2008 u/s 302 IPC, PS Dwarka, New Delhi. Accused Nitin Verma was sentenced to imprisonment for life by the Court and he absconded after being released on parole for more than a year.

On 19.04.2008, information was received at PS Dwarka that 2-3 persons had been murdered in street no. 9, Rajnagar-II, Palam Village, Delhi. Local police staff reached the spot and found one male and 2 female dead bodies lying in the house, who had been murdered with sharp-edged weapon. There were multiple wounds on the bodies and the floor was soaked up with blood. Nothing was found stolen/robbed from the house. All articles/jewelry were lying as it is.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 243/08 dated 19.04.2008 u/s 302 IPC, PS Dwarka was registered in this regard. During the inquiry, it was found that the son of deceased was also got admitted in DDU hospital by PCR Van in injured condition. During the investigation, it was found that Nitin Verma murdered his pregnant wife and parents. The accused committed these murders due to an extramarital affair. After committing murders,the accused created a scene of his accident to save himself. The accused was charge-sheeted for the above-mentioned murders and the court sentenced him to imprisonment for life. He was absconding after being released on parole for more than a year.

TEAM & OPERATION : A dedicated team of NDR, RKPuram, Crime Branch was assigned a task to trace out and apprehend theabsconded criminal namelyNitin Verma, who was absconding after being released on parole in a triple murder case registered vide FIR No. 243/08 dated 19.04.2008 u/s 302 IPC, PS Dwarka. The team was directed to trace the absconded criminal. In this task, the team worked relentlessly on all aspects and gathered manual as well as technical information.

Mr. Amit Goel, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, said, the team conducted raids at possible hideouts in Guwahati, Assam in search of the accused person. Incessant efforts of the team paid off and the accused person was apprehended. On sustained interrogation, he admitted his involvement in the above-mentioned case.

Initially, it was learnt that the accused was residing in Palam Colony, New Delhi. Team collected the details of family tree, friends etc., and local sources as well as technical information was developed. After efforts of more than 15 days, during which teams were detailed at several hideouts, enquired several persons and analyzed hundreds of CDRs, it revealed that accused Nitin Verma is working in Daryaganj, New Delhi. 

The search was made but it was found that the accused had left Daryaganj about one month ago. Based onthe information collected, further technical details were developed and it was found that the location of the accused is in Guwahati, Assam.It was noticed that the accused person was changing his mobile handset, SIMs and hideouts frequently to dodge police and to evade his arrest.

As per direction of senior officers, acting upon information, a team comprising of SIs Samrat Khatiyan, Shubhendu, Udayveer, Anil and Pradeep, ASI Vinod, HCs Ghanshyam, Deepak, Satpal and Sushil was constituted under the supervision of Insp. Vivek Malik and overall supervision of Sh. Umesh Barthwal, ACP/NDR, Crime Branch.

Accordingly, he has been booked under the appropriate section of law.

Accused Nitin Verma r/o Palam Colony, Delhi, age 42 years, has studied up to 12th Standard. He started several businesses but did not succeed. He was trying to set up a business in Guwahati, Assam.
