COMPLICATED KNEE OPERATION PERFORMED

A complex operation has been performed on the knee of a patient who was seriously injured in a road accident at Jan Seva Hospital Sriganganagar.

Pala Ram, 26, living in a nearby village, was injured after falling. Three of the four ligaments in his knee were torn and both bones were separated. The patient was examined and operated by Dr. Vikram Arora, HoD of Bone and Joint Disease Department at Jan Seva Hospital.

Dr. Arora said that the patient was operated on in two stages and his ligament was reconstructed using arthroscopy. After the operation, physiotherapy of the patient's knee was done on time. After this successful operation, the patient is now completely capable of doing his work.

After doing fellowship in Joint Transplantation and Arthroscopy from the famous Sancheti Hospital, Pune, Dr. Arora has served in Max Delhi and Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon and is now working as the Head of the Department of Orthopaedics in Jan Seva Hospital for a long time. EOM
