DGP HARYANA'S JOGINDER SHARMA FIERY INNINGS DEMOLISHED DGP PUNJAB XI BY 27 RUNS, JOURNALISTS FUMBLED AGAINST ARTISTS

In the series of Gully Cricket Tournament being organised by UT Cricket Association and Chandigarh Police, two exhibition matches were played at PCA, Mohali on Sunday. World Cup champion Joginder Sharma's team DGP Haryana XI defeated DGP Punjab XI by 27 runs .
DGP Haryana XI won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 77/8 runs in the stipulated ten overs which was powered by a fiery inning of Joginder Sharma (36). No other player could touch the double figure mark. Gaurav Toora took two wickets from the Punjab's side. In reply, DGP Punjab XI could only score 50/8 . Punjab Police’s DGP Gaurav Yadav and few other top officials from both the states also marked the occasion.
Earlier, Artist XI defeated the Chandigarh Press Club team by 14 runs. Abhishek Sharma led Artist XI won the toss and decided to bat first. After losing four wickets for 16 runs, Prateek Bora's knock of 22 runs took the team to a respectable score of 76/7 runs. Pulkit added 13 runs. Kamleshwar took three wickets. In reply, Press Club kept losing its wickets at regular intervals and restricted to 62/8 runs in the stipulated ten overs. Prateek Bora took three wickets while Pulkit took two wickets. UTCA’s President Sanjay Tandon, Rajya Sabha MP Kartikeya Sharma, Chandigarh’s DC Vinay Partap Singh, noted artists BN Sharma, Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi, Harish Verma and others felicitated both the teams.
