ACCUSED WAS APPREHENDED FROM NEAR NEPAL BORDER AFTER A THRILLING CHASE OF 900 KM., 36 HIGH-END ANDROID MOBILE PHONES RECOVERED. 20 THEFT CASES OF DELHI WORKED OUT. ACCUSED HAS A CRIMINAL HISTORY AND WAS PREVIOULSY INVOLVED IN 09 CASES OF MURDER, ATTEMPT TO MURDER, SNATCHING, HOUSE THEFT, ETC.

In a significant breakthrough, the WR-I, Crime Branch has arrested one key receiver cum supplier of stolen mobiles phones named Saravpal Singh @ Ginny r/o Omaxe City, Bahadurgarh, Haryana. Total 36 stolen mobile phones and a Honda City Car used for transporting was seized.
The Crime Branch was tasked to investigate and crack down on the organized gangs involved in theft and illegal trade of stolen mobile phones. Investigations revealed that stolen mobile phones were being smuggled out from India and being sent to neighboring countries including Nepal, where these mobile phones were sold in grey market.
Mr.Satish Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, said, during interrogation, accused Saravpal Singh @ Ginny revealed that he purchases stolen articles from his associates named Golu from Nihal Vihar, Bundi Chor from Tilak Vihar and Mintu @ Ganja from Paschim Vihar and sell these stolen articles to his associates named Caesar, Mohan, Prem etc., in Kathmandu, Nepal. He had already supplied around 700 to 800 mobile phones in Nepal so far.
SI Anshu Kadian received a tip-off that one Saravpal Singh @ Gini, receiver and supplier of stolen mobile phones, was en-route to the Nepal border via Lucknow by car and was carrying approximately 40-50 stolen mobile phones. A specialized team comprising SI Anshu Kadian, ASI Vinod Kumar, ASI Rajender Kumar & HC Dinesh Kumar headed by Insp. Sanjay Kumar and under the close supervision of Sh. Ajay Kumar ACP/WR-I, was constituted by the undersigned to nab criminal.
After a long chase of 900-km, the team successfully intercepted and apprehended accused Saravpal Singh age-53 years on Gorakhpur to Sonauli Nepal Border Highway, near Toll Tax Nanysar, near Nepal border, UP.

KNOW THE ACCUSED: Accused Saravpal Singh, @ Ginny (53 years) r/o Nihal Vihar, Delhi & Omaxe City, Bahadurgarh, Haryana had studied upto 10th class in a government school in Paschim Vihar, Delhi. He began working with his father in a book printing shop in Khyala, where he worked till 2009.
In 2009, he was arrested in connection to the murder of his girlfriend. While he was lodged in jail, he got befriended with other criminals who were involved in selling/purchasing of stolen and snatched items. After coming out of jail, he started dealing in stolen mobile phones. He has been arrested in several cases and has been previously involved in 9 cases of snatching, attempt to murder, house theft, etc. of various Police Stations of Delhi
CASES WORKOUT: With the arrest of accused, total 19 cases lodged in various cases of Delhi have been worked out.
